PARTICIPANT TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in the Ballet Nights Masterclasses (referred to herein as "the course"). By registering for one of the courses, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Ballet Nights reserves the right to:

make amendments and cancellations to schedules without prior notice, either before or during a session.

merge published age groups and schedule classes as required.

refuse any enrollment as permitted by law, or to request a participant leave a session if they are disruptive, late or have unpaid fees.

refuse an enrolment if an applicant does not fulfil the age requirements for the class/session.

retain all or part of the course fees in the event of the applicant’s withdrawal
Please note:

deposits are non-refundable.

all candidates must bring normal practice wear and female candidates are expected to bring pointe shoes with them
-
the organisers will not be held responsible for any damage or injury, however caused, to any person attending the course, nor for the loss of any property

the Directors reserve the right to change the teachers or artists in the event of illness or any other unavoidable causes
Participants and Parents/Carers:

acknowledge that activities may be physical and hence involve the risk of accidental injury.

must advise Ballet Nights in advance if their child has health problems and/or requires medication while attending a session. Staff take all due care of applicants during classes; however, cannot be responsible for the administration of medication or ensuring suitable health precautions are in place to suit all participants.
Approximately two weeks prior to each course commencing, enrolled applicants will receive a confirmation communication providing details of registration, venue, faculty and schedule. Please note that these are subject to change at short notice although every effort will be taken to ensure otherwise. If no communication from Ballet Nights has been received one week prior to the program start date, it is the applicant’s/parent's responsibility to contact Ballet Nights Masterclasses via the contact channels on the Ballet Nights Website.
Please note that Ballet Nights Masterclasses does not provide participants with individual feedback outside of classes/sessions.
2. Eligibility
The courses are structured into age groups.
Ages 11-14: We recommend participants must have attained at least Grade 3 Ballet standard as recognised by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), or International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA).
Ages 15-17: We recommend participants must have attained at least Grade 6/Intermediate Foundation Ballet standard as recognised by RAD, ISTD, or other examining body.
Participants who have not reached these grade levels but believe they meet the standard may submit a short video to enquire about suitability to masterclasses@balletnights.com
Please use the email title:
"Grade Level Verification Submission – [Participant's Name]"
Videos should be uploaded to YouTube or Google Drive set to private and shared via the provided email.
3. Admittance
Participants must register through the official Ballet Nights Masterclasses website and complete all required fields in the registration form.
Full payment must be made at the time of registration via the specified online payment methods.
4. Fees and Payments
A deposit may be paid to secure a place on the course. Places are capped to ensure students receive adequate tuition. Full payment covers all tuition for the duration of the course applied for. Fees do not cover travel, accommodation, meals, or any other expenses, which are the responsibility of the participants.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations must be made by emailing masterclasses@balletnights.com with the title "Masterclasses Cancellation Request – [Participant's Name]".
Refunds are available under the following conditions:
Brisbane (17th – 21st September): Cancellations before 17th August are eligible for a 50% refund.
Melbourne (24th – 28th September): Cancellations before 24th August are eligible for a 50% refund.
Sydney (30th September – 4th October): Cancellations before 30th August are eligible for a 50% refund.
No refunds will be given for cancellations made within 30 days of the start of the course.
If the course is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as extreme weather or insufficient enrolment, full refunds will be issued.
6. Conduct and Safety
Participants are expected to behave respectfully and professionally at all times during the course.
Ballet Nights reserves the right to dismiss any participant whose behaviour or conduct is deemed disruptive or dangerous, without refund. Participants are expected to meet the etiquette of a professional working environment and behaviour deemed inappropriate or disruptive in nature will not be tolerated and will lead to the participant being removed from the course without refund.
Ballet Nights will make every effort to ensure its policies, protocols and management of risks, particularly those around Health and Safety and Safeguarding are robust. All parents and carers are asked to read all policies for the Ballet Nights Masterclasses to ensure they are satisfied with the policies and protocols in place. Purchase of a course constitutes agreement to these policies.
7. Health, Injuries and Allergies
Participants must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions or injuries that may affect their ability to participate fully in the course.
Ballet Nights is not responsible for personal injuries or health issues that may occur during the course. Participants are encouraged to have personal health insurance and to participate in sessions only that are aligned with both their wellness and ability.
All participants are required to submit any allergy or medical information to the Ballet Nights team in advance, so that adequate provision can be made to fully support participants with medical needs.
8. Intellectual Property
All training materials provided during the course is the intellectual property of Ballet Nights and are not to be reproduced or distributed without prior written consent.
9. Photography and Media
Ballet Nights may take photographs and videos during the courses primarily focusing on the participants, not the parents or guardians.
By participating in the courses, and agreeing to the GDPR/Privacy Law waiver, you grant Ballet Nights the right to use your images and likenesses for promotional purposes, including but not limited to print and digital media at a local and international level, to promote Ballet Nights, Ballet Nights Masterclasses and other educational offerings. Participants may opt out at any time by emailing olivia@balletnights.com
10. Privacy Policy
Personal information collected during registration will be used in accordance with our privacy policy, available on our website, to manage the courses.
11. Changes to Terms
Ballet Nights reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes prior to their effective date.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia.
