BALLET NIGHTS YOUNG AMBASSADOR 2026

Announcing the Winner for The Ballet Nights Young Ambassador Indonesia 2026

ree

We are delighted to announce Aiko Larasati Elizabeth Laurence as our 2026 Ballet Nights Young Ambassador Indonesia.

This year, we were thrilled to receive 30 applications from talented young dancers training at leading ballet schools across Indonesia. Applicants came from Jakarta, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Bandung, and Bali, making the selection process both exciting and challenging.

From this wonderful group, six finalists were shortlisted, each showing strong technique, commitment, and individuality. After careful consideration, 14-year-old Aiko truly stood out.

Aiko impressed the panel with her ease in both classical and contemporary work, as well as her natural ability to pick up choreography. Aiko is celebrated for her confidence, musicality, and a maturity beyond her years. Training at Marlupi Dance Academy, she has developed a strong artistic foundation, and we have no doubt she has a very bright future ahead.

With a British father and plans to move to London, Aiko is looking ahead to an exciting new chapter in her training and development. We are delighted to welcome her into the Ballet Nights family and support her journey as a Young Ambassador.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Maria Sascha Khan, Director of Development, South East Asia at Fundamentally Dance, for her invaluable support throughout the selection process. Her guidance and commitment to nurturing young talent in the region is the important role which makes this initiative possible.
