The future of dance arrives on the stage of Cadogan Hall this June as Ballet Nights New Futures brings together. For the very first time, the UK’s leading ballet and contemporary training institutions come together for one extraordinary evening. A showcase, unlike anything seen before.

Created as a celebration of what’s next for dance, New Futures marks a landmark moment. An ambitious and deeply inspiring initiative that connects education with the professional stage in a way rarely seen before. More than a performance, it is an invitation into the evolving landscape of dance training and artistry in the UK today. Designed for current students, aspiring young dancers, parents, educators, audiences, and supporters of the arts alike, the inaugural programme offers a rare, joined-up insight into the journey from studio to stage. It shines a light not only on technical excellence, but on the ambition, individuality, and creative energy shaping the next generation of performers.
At the heart of New Futures is an exceptional collective of young artists representing seven of the UK’s foremost training institutions:

The Royal Ballet School, English National Ballet School, Central School of Ballet, Rambert School, Elmhurst Ballet School, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Northern School of Contemporary Dance.
Together, these institutions represent the remarkable breadth and diversity of contemporary dance education across the UK, from classical ballet tradition to boundary-pushing contemporary practice, through showcasing works by visionary choreographers such as Hofesh Shechter OBE, David Bintley OBE, and Ashley Page OBE. Their contributions represent the breadth of movement languages now informing dance education across the UK, from contemporary physicality and theatrical intensity to richly musical narrative ballet. This unique coming together also offers audiences an unprecedented opportunity to witness the distinct identities and artistic voices emerging from each school. For prospective students and families, it provides invaluable insight into the training environments. For the wider ballet community, it stands as a powerful statement of unity and shared investment in the future of the art form in the UK.
“The UK’s dance schools and colleges have always been centres of excellence, producing greatness in dance, and greatness in people. From the age of eight to today, I’ve been lucky enough to participate in, work with, and learn from many of these institutions. To now bring them all together on one stage, for a first-of-its-kind event, is a real honour.” - Jamiel Devernay Laurence

Further reinforcing Ballet Nights’ commitment to nurturing international dialogue and opportunity, the evening will also introduce the Ballet Nights Young Ambassador for Indonesia 2026, Aiko Larasti. An exciting initiative that reflects the organisation’s growing global ambition and dedication to engaging with young aspiring dancers worldwide.
At a time when the dance world continues to evolve, Ballet Nights New Futures feels both timely and essential. It celebrates not only the dancers of tomorrow, but the institutions, mentorship, and creative ecosystems supporting them today. It is a moment of optimism, ambition, and possibility, a reminder that the future of dance is already taking shape before our eyes.
Seven schools. One stage. A new generation ready to be seen.

On June 9th, at Cadogan Hall, London
