Solving the Puzzle: Ekleido's SPLICE unfolds on the Main Stage

Your insight into Ekleido, a choreographic duo of Contemporary underground fusion, performing their piece SPLICE at Ballet Nights 008: Spring into Summer in a few days time at Cadogan Hall, Sloane Square.

EKLEIDO is a choreographic duo made up of Hannah Ekholm and Faye Stoeser choreographing for live performance and film. They are interested in multidisciplinary collaborations, currently working with musicians at the forefront of the electronic music scene. With Faye and Hannah’s diverse following from Ballroom (vogue) communities, contemporary dance, street dance, and electronic music scenes, they reach a wide range of audiences. Ekleido’s work has toured to venues and festivals including: Glastonbury, Sadler’s Wells Breakin’ Convention, Latitude, Lilian Baylis Theatre,  The Place, DanceEast, Exeter Northcott. With commercial choreographic credits including: Marc Jacobs, Maison Margiela, NIKE, Joy Crookes, RAYE, Floating Points, British Vogue, Daniel Avery, Grey Goose, La Roux.

This June, Ekleido will be performing SPLICE; a duet that finds the balance between limitation and possibility to solve a physical puzzle, with an original score by world-renowned Electronic musician Floating Points. Having performed the piece at Ballet Nights New Voices at Ministry of Sound last May, we are thrilled to bring this piece to the Ballet Nights Main Stage.

The work takes influences from both Faye and Hannah’s vocabularies combining contemporary dance and underground club/battle styles including Voguing, bone-breaking, threading and electro. The piece has also been translated to film by director Jordan Chandler, as a physical puzzle is solved through movement, featured on the platform Nowness and nominated in the Best Short Film Category for the upcoming National Dance Awards 2025.

A completely unique movement, this is not one to miss on the main stage. With few tickets remaining, book your seats today.
